Design rips are unfortunately commonplace in the web design industry, but I can't say I ever expected to see a company of Nike's size ripping apparel designs. And from Threadless, no less.

Over at Threadless, there’s a shirt called Spoilt. The design consists of numerous movie/book spoilers crammed onto the front of the shirt; red and white graphics on black fabric.

Overall, a pretty effective design that makes good use of varying font faces and iconic graphics. Just the other day, I was wandering back to my car at the mall, when I passed a display in Macy’s for Jumpman, Michael Jordan’s Nike offshoot brand. A particular shirt caught my attention.

Many (all?) of Jordan’s career accomplishments crammed into a rectangle on the front of a shirt. Red/white graphics on a black shirt. To me at least, the connection was instantaneous. I saw this shirt, I immediately thought of Spoilt. So, honest coincidence, or did some designer over at Jumpman just get lazy? What are your thoughts?
